Hello. Thank you for stopping by. If you’re going to read further, then you should know that my name is not Maple. Sad, but true.
But I love maple trees and a big one is going into my front yard this spring. I do live a few steps from the woods though on the top of a small mountain in the Okanagan Valley. So maybe my site should be called A Ponderosa Pine in the woods… but no. Maple it is. Canadian emblem and a Canadian girl. It’ll do.
I will be adding posts of my new home as I decorate it, and get it ready for holidays and festive events. I consider this house to be in the contemporary rustic style-think mountain lodge meets transitional. I designed it nearly 2 years ago and all decisions were mine! Anyway, I hope to follow and more than that, enjoy some of my stylings and ideas for home decor.

The entryway is the statement that your house makes when company arrives. It is the first impression and one that is important to me. I regularly change up the front hall table depending on the season or holiday. If it’s a month without any special holiday, I just pretty it up anyway! We have a […]Read More
